2021 - A year for growth & opportunity
I think I echo the sentiments of many of us when I say that 2020 sucked! It’s not an eloquent description but one that easily captures the agony of a global pandemic and the curfews, home schooling and inconveniences that went with it. While going through these trials, I think I was lucky to be able to escape the bustle of Kingston to the solitude and serenity of the farm (even with it’s never ending cascade of challenges). Eager to put last year behind me, I look forward to 2021 with optimism and enthusiasm. As my sister is fond of telling me after some misfortune - “It’s all uphill from here girl, cause it can’t get worse than this!”
We are in our 9th year of business here at TrinJam and over the holidays I had time to reflect on how far we’ve come and our vision for the future. We are truly proud of our development and accomplishments through the years. We began with a herd of 11 sheep and have steadily grown to a sizeable livestock operation producing both meat and dairy. We have weathered the literal and figurative storms of farming, overcome many an obstacle and rebuilt and regrouped after each calamity. We could not have done any of this without the support of family, the loyalty of our customers and our unwavering belief in the power of Jamaican agriculture.
